Review: I bought this 3-lb day pack for use on solo overnight and weekend trips. It has sufficient outside compartments for a water filter, raingear, and other items I need to get at on the trail, yet it still has a narrow enough profile to prevent any fishtailing or hang-ups during a scramble. I strapped a solo tent to two lashing points sewn into the bottom surface of the pack. After a summer of hiking, there was no noticeable wear on the lash points. There was enough clearance between the tentroll and my backside that I never felt any contact. The suspension is rigid enough to fully load hip belt when desired, but you hardly know that it's there. The construction is solid. The webbing, fabric, and hardware are more than strong enough to get the job done, but the pack is not "overbuilt" as is the case with a lot packs in its class. Thus the three-pound weight.
